I totally support Betty and believe that the recall effort on the part of the city council members is for manipulative and political reasons.
I worked with Betty on a city committee for five plus years and found her to be responsible, and responsive to the public.
The recall is based upon lies to the public, proven by expert witness and city records.

Dear Ms Rexford Hang in there! Insurance company settling a case does not mean you did anything wrong. I know, because twice my family has been threatened with a suit, and the insurance company settled (against my advice. Maybe the entire city council plus the city attorney and city manager should resign. Good luck Warren Coon

Dear Council Woman Betty Rexford:
I have been following all the statements being published about this incident. If this same thing happened to them and they went to the City Council or City Mayor or City Manager. Don't you think they would have expected the same solution? That the developer and the City Inspectors do their job. This is not like your case is the first case that involved the City Inspectors and the City Manager. Take a look at the other Lawsuits before the City of Poway. Who does it involve? City Inspectors the City Manager and the City Attorney.
I am truly disappointed in Mayor Higginson, the other Council Members and City Manager Gould for their lack of respect and their degrading remarks on your personal integrity and of someone who has served longer in support of City of Poway than any of them. All anyone has to do is to look at your previous record as councilwoman and all you appointments to Committees and the Awards you have received during the terms as City Council Woman. It can be compared to any of these people that are now pointing their fingers at you.
As for this Steve Vaus he is truly a Johnny come lately for the notoriety and it makes you wonder what his motive‘s are. As for the Republican Party I have been a Republican for many years now and based upon their interference in this City Government I am seriously thinking of become independent.
I hope that you will continue to serve the City of Poway and hold your head high and not drop to their low level playing field. In the end they will have a very difficult time in being re-elected to the City of Poway. When we have a City Mayor and City Manager who degrades a Council Member and just keeps harping on it at every Council Meeting and allow all this bad feelings to keep being presented by those who they agree with is an insult to the intelligence of the residence of Poway. They do not represent me and probably many others that can see thru their game.
I have never written to any Council Member even though I have been a resident before Poway was incorporated as a City and served on the Budget and Finance Committee. This is the first time that I have ever been ashamed to be a residence of Poway. If the Mayor and City Manager can’t see the harm that they have caused I guess someday they will look back and review the appearance of their time serving Poway and it might not be such a pleasant thought. There were many ways that could have solved and handled this situation. Mayor Higginson and City Manager Gould are not capable managers if they couldn’t have handled this with tack and understanding and chosen another path besides trying to downgrade someone who was not been proven guilty in Court and to convince the other Council Members to side in with them. They are hiding behind you so that the true situation of who is at fault in the City Mayors, City Managers and the City Inspectors offices would not disclosed their part in not carrying out their duties. To this day they did not fully explain the situation as to what led to the decision to point all fingers to you.
Hope in the future weeks ahead you will be supported by all the residence of Poway that can look between the motives of those in power, Mayor Higginson, City Manager Gould, City Inspectors and the City Attorney’s and roll all the disagreements and insults and degrading of an individual away and get down to business at hand with the City of Poway’ Business decisions.
